Key Capabilities

Full Duplex Operation - Motorola's Quantar DBS uses full duplex operation over a 4 wire Type 5 or 3002 grade phone line, to optimize data throughput.
Data Error Correction - With the Quantar DBS, data received from mobile or data terminals can be corrected for errors before being forwarded throughout your network, helping maintain data integrity.
Protocol Conversion - Protocol Conversion in the base station virtually eliminates the process of reprogramming a host computer to use a protocol compatible with the network.
Radio Signal Strength Information (RSSI) Option - RSSI allows the network controller to choose the optimum transmitter to communicate to a specific terminal. Using RSSI, hundreds of data terminals can be supported on a single channel.

Configurable Transmitter - The Quantar DBS is designed to support up to 19.2 kbps data transmission for 800 MHz and 9.6 kbps data for 900 MHz. Transmitter power is configurable, permitting communication coverage to be customized for mobile and portable terminals.
Maximum Flexibility in a Compact Design - The compact dimension of the Quantar DBS helps you optimize site space usage, while the software-intensive design allows you to make upgrades and complete system migrations easily.

STR 3000™

Product Description

The STR 3000 is Motorola's pre-packaged digital base radio sub-system. Its components include one to six base radios, multicoupler(s), combiner, isolator and cabling in a single cabinet.

Project 25 compatible, with 700 MHz and 800 MHz systems
Performs transmit/receive operations within the ASTRO 25 sub-system
FLASHportTM capable, allowing easy upgrade of Base Radio software

Features

Modular Construction - Incorporates modular construction with separate modules for -48VDC Input Power Supply, Exciter, Power Amplifier, Receiver and Base Radio Controller, thereby simplifying repair.
Flexible Configuration - Several configurations are available with each cabinet supporting a total of 6 base radios. Up to 24 base radios can be supported on one RX antenna and up to 12 base radios on one TX antenna. Each site can have up to five STR 3000 sub-systems for a total of 30 base radios at a site.
Easy installation - Base radios and the Radio Frequency Distribution System are pre-packaged in a single cabinet and are integrated in the factory, reducing overall time and effort by simplifying site planning and installation.

MTR2000™

Motorola's MTR2000 Station/Repeater/Receiver is a continuous duty, prepackaged station for use on both conventional and trunking systems in the VHF, UHF, and 800 and 900 MHz bands.
