Hydro

IVC video systems are being used by a large, multi-national power company to achieve efficiencies in the management of hydro-electric generating facilities. In 2001, the company acquired two hydro generation facilities on dams in upstate New York.

  • Cost cutting

  • Remote site monitoring

Pipeline

IVC video systems are being used by a major energy company to monitor a variety of facilities in their pipeline operations. These include pump stations, delivery terminals and receiving terminals for an array of pre-refined crude and refined hydrocarbon products. One to four cameras are deployed at each facility. The facilities, some of which are in remote locations, are monitored centrally and from several alternate sites. The IVC Relay server and IP addressable cameras provided an ideal architecture for these requirements.

  • Remote monitoring

  • Satellite link

  • Motion detection

Port Security

IVC video systems are being used in a large commercial port complex in the North East. The three ports are spread across a 15 mile area and have overlapping security systems. A total of 91 pan tilt zoom cameras were deployed at the three ports including 72 new IVC PTZ-3130-S cameras and a redeployment of 19 existing cameras, all connected over a new Motorola Canopy wireless LAN.

  • Large scale, multi-location, integrated system

  • Wireless communication

  • Advanced intelligent motion detection

Waterway

Monitoring

A U.S. Government Agency is using IVC video systems for a variety of applications including: remote monitoring of reservoirs, monitoring of locks along the upper Mississippi River, and general security surveillance.

  • Public monitoring of recreational water resources

  • Monitoring of barge traffic for accidents

  • Lock traffic monitoring

Homeland

Security

The military facility security system shown employs two imaging techniques: video cameras with extended IR sensitivity that can be used with invisible, low cost IR lighting, and thermal imaging cameras that can operate in total darkness. The extended IR cameras provide superb video and include a 72X zoom for extreme close-ups.

  • Military base monitoring

  • Thermal and IR cameras

  • Large facility monitoring

Plant Security

A 400,000 square foot Midwestern meat packing plant is using IVC video for their plant security, both within and outside the facility. Their requirements included indoor cameras for monitoring entrances, exits and corridors, outside cameras for monitoring the parking lots and water treatment area, and access control for entrances to the plant.

Hazardous Area Monitoring

IVC video systems are being used by an international chemical company to monitor a hazardous material incineration facility at one of their major U.S. chemical plants. The cameras are used to monitor the flow of materials through the facility, confirm the accuracy of material identification, and importantly, to assure employee safety in potentially areas

  • Monitor hazardous process

  • OSHA Compliance

  • Protect personnel

Military

Bunker

Monitoring

IVC video has developed and rapidly deployed a security system for a US military bunker in Iraq. The requirement was to put a combination of cameras and sensors in the bunker and provide real-time wireless connectivity to a military monitoring station three miles away, providing both streaming video and audible alarm notification.

  • Wireless remote monitoring

  • Infrared illumination and camera

  • Alarm notification

Nursing Home Monitoring

A Nursing Home for Alzheimer’s patients in Patterson New Jersey, installed nine IVC IP cameras to help monitor their patients. The objective was to allow more freedom for the patients to move about while insuring they don’t drift away. Five of the cameras are high zoom pan-tilt, (PTZ), cameras that enable staff members to survey a wide area from any PC in the facility.

  • Monitor multiple patients.

  • Reduce staff; increase efficiency

Apartment

Complex

MTU Monitoring

Typical of IVCs building security customers is a 32-unit apartment complex in Florida. They use the system in a traditional security application for monitoring the entire complex including the outside grounds, parking lots, main office, and laundry rooms.

  • Provide tenant / owner security

  • View remotely at all hours
